Whether you’re relocating to Singapore for a long-term business assignment, or a visitor looking for a short-term stay, finding the right accommodation in the bustling city-state can be overwhelming. But with the serviced residences managed by established hospitality operator Far East Hospitality (FEH), you don’t have to worry. Not only do they offer flexible leases, they are also a cosier alternative to hotels or renting a private condominium unit.
FEH owns and manages nine serviced residences in Singapore under its three brands – Oasia, Village, and Far East Collection. The Oasia brand caters to wellness-conscious travellers looking for a restorative respite, while urban explorers can eat, play and explore like a local with the Village brand. The Far East Collection properties deliver convenience and impeccable service for travellers who want to stay in the heart of the city.

Comforts of home

Serviced residences are rentable residential properties that provide fully furnished apartments for short-term or long-term stays. They typically include a range of hospitality services like housekeeping, concierge, complimentary shuttle, and recreation facilities.
Some hotel rooms can feel confining if you’re travelling with a large family and are staying for a longer period of time. But FEH’s serviced apartments are designed to feel like home, so you can feel like you’re in your own private space.

All access into the serviced residence is secured with keycard access to ensure residents’ safety. This makes your stay safer compared to rental alternatives that do not offer 24-hour security.

Hassle-free

FEH is one of the few serviced residence providers in Singapore where signing a lease is straightforward without requiring a lease agreement. Residents can deal directly with a service operator like FEH, or through a real estate agent. Renting a unit also does not involve a tenancy agreement, and FEH offers leases starting from just six nights.
For residents and property agents, this means that serviced apartments are an attractive option for short-term stays, especially since the use of private residential properties for short-term accommodation of less than three consecutive months remains illegal in Singapore, according to a URA announcement in March this year.
This also means that property agents will be able to earn commissions with each rental contract they close, including short-term stays. Since the apartment is managed by the operator, all subsequent follow-ups during or after the lease period will also be handled by the management of the serviced residence.

Unlike renting a unit in a private residential development like a condo, you pay an all-inclusive rental rate for serviced residences. This covers maintenance, housekeeping, utilities, Internet, cable TV, and even breakfast service at most FEH properties. This frees up the time that you’d need to handle these separate bills. You can simply move in with their bags in tow and settle comfortably into your new home.

Central location

FEH manges Orchard Parksuites and Far East Plaza Residences, two serviced residences on the bustling Orchard Road shopping belt. The 223-room development offers a mix of units for leisure and business travellers. It has one-bedroom loft units of 635 to 829 sq ft that can accommodate up to two people. These duplex units can fit a king-sized bed and feature a fully furnished kitchen. Other amenities include Wi-Fi Internet access, breakfast, and laundry services.

Other centrally located serviced residences by FEH include Orchard Scotts Residences in the prime Newton area close to Orchard Road, and Regency House along Orchard Road.

FEH also operates the Village Residence Clarke Quay and Village Residence Robertson Quay, both in vibrant areas known for their nightlife along that stretch of the Singapore River. The colonial warehouses and shophouses along the historic river are now popular night spots and dining venues. Nearby is Fort Canning Park, an iconic hilltop featuring gardens, walking trails and a sprawling lawn that often hosts concerts and theatre productions.
Located just outside the CBD, Village Residence Clarke Quay and Village Residence Robertson Quay are less than a 10-minute drive to the financial centre and other downtown areas. Accessibility is heightened thanks to two nearby MRT stations – Clarke Quay on the North-East Line and Fort Canning on the Downtown Line.

In the west, its Oasia Residence Singapore and Village Residence West Coast are a five-minute and seven-minute drive respectively to the National University of Singapore, a top-ranked university in Singapore and globally.
